Korea Travelogue I
10:30 PM Day 1 - 11.12.07 took SQ 606 to Seoul/Incheon bright and early. 8am flight so we reached around 330? around a 6 hr flight. luckily it was a smooth flight!  after that met the rest of the tour group there and then our tour guide, Andy said they actually had activities planned for us that day. so we headed down to Dongdaemun once everyone got settled on the bus. and shopped for about 2 hours. didn't do much shopping cos every building seemed to be selling similar things. winter clothings, leather boots/shoes, hair accessories, jewellery, bags (not to my liking) etc. bought some cute stationery before meeting the rest on the bus and then went for Korean bbq! the Dongdaemun building outer design was super artistic la! and the words (exciting, passion etc) would blink at time intervals! haha. tried some roadside snack which were meatballs with chilli or something! pretty delicious!  to our horror we were gonna eat Korean bbq for the rest of the journey. well, almost everyday. either steamboat or bbq. hardly any other variety. haha so funny please. so it was mainly bbq pork cos beef and chicken were more expensive. or something like that. yep. so had Korean bbq pork for dinner on the first night and then checked into Novotel Ambassador Gangnam for a night's rest. didn't do much on the first day. wanted to go to the convenience store but guess we were sorta tired out. anyway had to wake up super early the next morning! haha.  Day 2 - 12.12.07 morning call was at 7am (6am SG time) cos we had to proceed out of the hotel for breakfast. haha low funds. =X the Novotel hotel room was superb la! 5* man! like SG's 5* standard as well. breakfast was on this boat, pretty cool. it was super cold and freezing that morn alr la! i should think it was about 3-4 deg. haha and the wind was quite strong cos it was along a river place (should think its the Han River)  so it was called the Arirang Restaurant! haha.  i was starting to think i couldn't even take the cold on top of the mountain... lol. after that it was a 4 hr journey to Kangwon High-1 Ski Resort. sigh bus journeys again. at least our tour guide was pretty entertaining during the journey. admired him for that. there was a stopover 2 hrs into the journey... had some snacks again. the fish cake looked pretty tasty but it wasn't that fantastic i guess. haha Singapore's otah beats it hands down! haha. yep the travelled all the way there again. stopped over for lunch at this place which i dunno where cos it seemed like it popped out of no where to me. haha vegetable steamboat. yep. steamboat would be a common staple food for us the rest of the trip. started talking with another girl in the group, Michelle, who came with her mother. :)  and soon after that dropped by at this ski shop to get our ski suits & goggles. haha i got a red one, which was a pretty common colour donned by the others in the group. and finally we arrived at Kangwon Land High-1 Ski Resort.  as its name suggests, it's some sort of integrated resort with a casino and so-called theme park. which was freaking boring! their theme park is fully indoor, with 10 simulation rides! rawr we spent half a day there la which kinda bored my soul outta me! such a waste of time. the itinerary stated that it would be on the 2nd day of skiing, we had a choice to continue skiing or go to the theme park place. BUT it seemed like it was meaningless to start skiing like at 3 plus since the place would close at 4 to touch up for night skiing or something like that. yep. so wasted our day away at the indoor theme park sitting simulation rides, and then went for dinner. which was steamboat again. if i dont remember wrong it was mushroom steamboat this time. haha.  went to the convenience store this time round, Family Mart! haha i saw more Family Marts there than 7-11! sigh total opposite of tw. lol! and saw something really cute.  we all thought it was banana ice cream cos the fresh bananas there were really expensive like S$2 a piece or something like that. hahah. but it turned out to be a frozen banana! which was selling for 80cents i think.. haha have no idea why a frozen banana would be much cheaper unless they froze it during the peak season when bananas are real cheap. haha. however, i didnt try it and i regret doing so! rawr! checked into High-1 Hotel for a night's rest! the room was however, really stuffy! i mean it was freezing cold outside, perhaps 2 deg, but inside the central heater was soooo hot la! there was a small window for you to open to let some cold air in but i doubt there was much wind and thus, i slept without the blankets. haha. Day 3 - 13.12.07 woke up slightly later at 7.30am cos the cable car opened at 9. had a pretty nice American breakfast at the hotel and then set off in our ski suits for some skiing! whee! haha. and when we woke up the view was really nice!!! (cos we arrived only in the night, hence the pitch black scenery outside the window)  shared the cable car with Martin (another friend in the group) and his father before we went to this place called Top of the Top which is the top of the whole resort la. nothing spectacular cos everywhere it was trees, forests, all blanketed in snow! so prettyyyy! :D haha. yep we saw this ice-skating rink along the way haha. so nice!  yep okay i shall stop here and continue with more pictures of me skiing! photoshop isnt doing any justice to my effort cos its so sickeningly slow! rawr :( Dienstag, Dezember 11

yay for royals and ds lite!
5:00 PM i went out to get my new baby yesterday!   so prettyyyyy! yay! the touch screen's really cool and i've got cooking mama already! brain age is really funny, there's this part you gotta speak the colour of the words into the mic, like Black as blue. imagine some idiot speaking into it in public. the console couldn't recognize some slangs though... it got kinda irritating esp when you have to speak like 40 of those kind of words into the mic which kept saying 'try again'. anyhow, im hooked onto cooking mama! i want the 2nd version! there's need for speed and much more! yay~ okay i shall learn to upload vids and music into it soon but damn i dont have the earphones. wahahah. the crimson/black version's the latest colour so im happy i got it! the other colours didn't suit though the pink was pleasant to the eye! couldn't find metallic rose though, my 1st choice. but crimson/black's fierce man! just like my blades! speaking of which i haven't gotten a chance to blade since my last paper. sob! oh and i found more cool pix of ds lites online!  the pikachu special ed with an engraving of pikachu on the front.  the metallic rose version i initially wanted.  someone bedazzled their ds lite! pretty but perhaps not my type! haha too much bling bling already. xxxxx okay time to update about Royals Chalet '07! 22.11.07 met them at white sands while we had to wait almost 1 hr for ken! but we went supermarket shopping! so fun! haha~ got tiger prawns and squid! and other essentials needed for the bbq. met ken and then cabbed down to downtown east. lol it was still pretty early and since there were 2 free Escape tix we went to Escape for some fun! haha the last time i was there was like in p6!? and i was still too short to sit the go-kart. haha... anyhow we sat the ferris wheel and then on the flipper which was really fun and dizzy as well. haha. sat this family coaster as well. before the major fun rides coming from the daytona go-karting! sat the beginner's one twice. once drove myself and the other driven by ken. omg i almost fainted when i sat with ken la! so scary please. accelerating down a slope!? hahaha then we queued for the advanced one. going in 3s is good cos ppl usually go in pairs or quartets! and there's like 7 karts per round so usually there'll be 3 left? haha so the 3 of us (excl kh) kept 'jumping' queue. lol! when it was almost 7 we headed back for the bbq and finally yx arrived! haha marinated the chicken wings in the toilet. yes but it was really clean ok, at the sink there. before waiting for kh and maggie to come back from the doc's. then it began raining just as we were about to start the fire. in the end when everything was started and when kh and maggie came back it was already 930pm. hahah we were like the only ones bbq-ing then la. so funny. bbq-ed for 3 hrs + and had lots of laughted. laugh until stomach pain man... lol. then cleared up and went in to rest after that. when i was showering these funny ppl started making so much noise outside for i dunno what la... haha kept asking me to hurry up. then when i came out yx said something very lame. 哦停電了. walao i got a shock la but i was thinking why the toilet light was still on. haha. then suddenly they sang this birthday song for me! awwww so sweet. lol the surprise was kinda spoilt cos they kept the cake in the fridge which i kept opening to get the drinks and food. lol. i thought wah. so generous buy cake to celebrate our chalet gathering or what. lol so funny. i was so shocked and 狼狽 la. haha hair was wet and i was still damp cos i was so scared they'd pound on the door cos i was just changing my clothes and these people kept asking me to hurry. haha...so funny. but thank you royals! i loved the strawberry shortcake! :D *hearts* after that ken wanted to open the bottle of Barcardi Breezer and cut her hand cos the bottle exploded when she slammed it against the stone table outside... :( and our first aid rep was inside the toilet showering during the whole commotion la. dear kh kept screaming 啊！血！血！while i was panicking and finding yx's first aid kit.. haha. pretty cool experience! banana i hope your hand's okay now! haha. then later on we played mj on the bed cos there was no table available. got dad's old mj set which was about 20 years old. haha it was small and cute with a very funny yi shuo. lol kept laughing till stomach pain cos they say im windows vista. every time my turn the game will start to lag cos i take very long to think... haha...played 2 風 but it took so long... like 4 hrs? i think haha we slept at close to 4/5am! lol so fun but i was so tired man. packed up in the morning after macs breakfast and went home! here are the pictures! had bowlers farewell chalet yesterday. gonna miss those people lots! :( okay shall blog soon enough. lol. damn pimple on my eyelid! p.s/ hello shanghai! here i come jan 4! :D Sonntag, September 16
winter wonderland
7:04 PM shopping with the girls on friday was such a joy! :) i love shopping. sigh i wanna go orchard soon! exams have been keeping me locked up in a cage at home. sigh. there's 42 more days till "Dooms Day"............ and approx 63 days or so to freedom. anyhow, i was at the Natas Travel Fair yesterday. (approx 6 hours) walked till my limps went weak. :( still, we finally managed to get a suitable travel package by CTC! yay, and the best thing is that we're flying SQ! muahahaha. enough of budget trips to Taipei! but seriously i dont mind travelling Jetstar to Taipei once again, to satisfy my constant pangs of wanting to shop at their fantabulous night markets! *shrieks in excitement* especially during the winter season, when the weather is just nice for late night shopping! provided that there's no rain to dampen the spendthrift mood! =D okay thats an alternative for holidays next year, depending on the financial situations or rewards from loved ones. ;) HEHEH. oh gosh, i so cant wait till freedom dawns. so, the trip's confirmed to Korea, where it'll be mostly a ski trip with 2 days at a new ski resort! Kangwon Land High-1 which just opened last year! and an in-built theme park too! click1 or click2 or click3. and the original planned departure dates were delayed so that we could experience real snow! YAYAYAYAYAY. almost like a white xmas but slightly earlier. hahaa. i wonder how i'm gonna survive -ve temperatures. it'll be the first time i'd probably freeze my butt off. tuesday's the last paper of physics mcq! rawr..... i wanna go shopping. life's getting miserable, but i guess its the last lap, 6 more weeks, +U+U! soooo prettyyyyyy.........   p.s. the new Mocca ad has given me the laughs over dinner man. :S hahah. not sure how i should respond to green pipes with pink toilet bowls. 7:06 PM enough with all the materialistic wants man. whats with Apple coming up with new ipods again!? haha, imagine me getting a new ipod every year, i guess... next year wont be different. it'll be the annual birthday present crap. haha. 2005 - iPod shuffle 2006 - iPod nano 2007 - U2 iPod Video and then comes... the latest designs, right off the oven. actually, they're gorgeous. really tantalising and feastful to the eyes! IMAGINE AN IPOD NANO WITH VIDEO!! thank goodness they got rid of the pink designs, added in red colour and jade! HOW PRETTYYY. my pupils are already dilating at the sight of them. okay, shant dwell too much into materialistic wants! short term focus on exams! oh, im going to the High School Musical 2 gala premiere tomorrow! 10:28 AM my blog feels so outdated. i havent been updating myself about myself. hahah. okay im being lame. im seriously going crazy, not that im crazy enough. sch's been disasterous. with ending school at an average of 5pm each day (including CCA). ARGH. the lack of sleep is giving me headaches and my head hurts so much i really wanna pull all my hair out. bah. maybe today isnt good to update. anyhow, dad bought a new camera! Sony Cyber-shot T20  its in rose pink. damn chio right! though it doesnt look THAT pink in real life la. haha. its more metallic actually. 8.1mp! ;D ISO 3200 too. powderful la. it was out less than a week ago (like 5 days?) so i havent been able to find it on the sony website yet. i wanted to get the DSC-N2 initially but then the promoter recommended against it cos even though it was 10.1mp, people dont usually take that big pictures, so 8.1mp should do good enough. though i was attracted to its touch-screen function with paint features. haha. ah well. photoshop works fine for me la. ;p and i was eyeing the pink T20 when i got to the Sony Gallery. haha though i did have qualms about the PINK colour thing, erm, due to some undisclosable class sayings. =/ but the pink was sweet la... haha. if not i'd have taken the white. and then it was between the T100 or the T20 but the T100 was better only because it had more optical zoom and a 3' screen, while the T20 has a 2.5' one. 10:35 PM yay dad got me my new U2 ipod video! YAYYYY. bus rides will never be boring now! cos im hooked onto 熱情仲夏！ and it feels dumb laughing to myself and staring at my ipod. haha. but i havent reached ep 3 yet! 小鬼 hasnt appeared yet! :( haha. ah well. BT results have been pouring in. sigh. shall not mention it. :( MSP welcomes me :) anyhow, the past few days have been pretty slack. the new timetable sucks, and then erm. pe has been cancelled cos mr ho has waterpolo. so no pe this week. and erm. yeah. bleah. im so stressed out over physics. someone please inspire me. :( enlighten me or something. sigh. okay im hooked onto this song cos of 熱情. haha.

9:34 PM whoa. finally i am back for some slacking before i begin on my FINAL paper! physics on friday. but then again, its my i dont want it to be though. bleahs. anyways, birthday dinner was on sat night after tuition at RTC's Miyabi Jap Restaurant. super duper ex but the nabe was nice la! and the beef teppanyaki too! super yummilicious. yep. so the past few days have been spent erm, trying to mug. 4 papers down, 1 more to go! yay. :D clearing papers make you feel good. for the moment at least. today was slack day! :) heh. came home after econs and then slacked on the com for awhile. before Mum volunteering to treat Sakae lunch ;D yummilicious once again! gyoza, salmon sashimi, soft shell crab temaki.... ooh-la-la! haha. ohmygosh im binging. this is so bad. and then walked around parkway for awhile before returning back to sleep like a pig and dad woke me up before we left for dinner. steamboat at geylang (: heheh. see what a slack day it was. and now im blogging here! there's secret recipe tiramisu and classic cheese cake later! yummilicious once again! exam periods are good for food indulgences. haha. alright then... i shall be off to try to start mugging physics. oh yay. ;D countdown to some freedom. 2:41 PM heh. its cny eve! and tmr's cny! yay. i get to see everyone else once again! but this year, i doubt there'll be ____ there. sadness. anyhow. i havent blogged about my erm, not-so-interesting life since dont know when. yeah vday huh. okay so here are some visuals... i finally got my SA bear erm, a few days ago! super cute right! haha. with my beloved TK doll. :p  haha i had this for dinner when i was baking the heart-shaped cookies for vday (sorry guys if they lao hong-ed!) my heart-shaped chicken nugget! so cute la!  oh, and our resident erm, pe reserve gave the girls this! haha okay seriously we were quite shocked. thank you yewkiang for your thoughtful gift! :) (see, we even took a pic of all 5 in a row la! haha!) and then on erm, thurs night, i went to chinatown for some cny shopping. it was quite boring actually. nothing night market-ish can be very much compared to 台灣's 夜市s la! i miss 士林 and 饒河 and 華西街 etc etc! :(it is very much more happening there. more clean, more lively, more bargains, more everything! ahhh i miss tw badly. i wanna go so desperately again. :( it wasn't very crowded but then. yeah. quite sian stuff. mostly repetitive. okay, it is meant to sell cny stuff so i guess its supposed to be quite repetitive. mum bought some flowers thing and i got my MY GIRL vcd which was highly recommended by some of my 豬朋狗友 (must use all the 豬 stuff cos its the 金豬年! =.= im being uber lame man). lol. and belinda says i've been buying so many vcds and dling variety shows i haven't really got the time to watch them all. which i think is so true. they're just gathering mould in my com la.  the juniors were so bored during training, they started eating their valentines day chocs. and we got so bored until they made this heart-shaped ferrero rocher thing. quite unique huh. haha. and then came the stupid bet, which i lost. =/  oh yest after cny celebrations, the guys went to sentosa while the girls went to eat and shop. well sort of. annabel and belinda went to meet their friends so left me cy and lena. went to sakae heeren to lunch and then started walking around.within 5 mins of walking TOWARDS heeren, i saw dwayne, kokyong and joanne. wah sia. and then later on, saw many other faces which i haven't seen in a long while. it was almost like the whole student jc population of sg was at orchard. (excl dtan) and i think i saw like 20 over people there. haha. and then the most absurd thing was that, annabel and belinda left us at school, then we didn't tell each other where we were going either. we ended meeting one another at orchard. and the most number of people being spotted at far east. haha. and then banana told me she was at orchard too but someone was just too busy to answer my call la. haha so funny then after seeing annabel at heeren, i was like, "i got a feeling we would meet belinda too." then really at far east we met her there. haha. okayyy. didn't buy anything but had much fun time gossiping and fooling around. lena and cy forced me to order the pumpkin chawanmushi which was erm, a bad choice! i don't like pumpkin but curiousity got the better of me so i decided to try it. haha. it tasted more like egg yolk with egg. so yeah, people, just order the sakae chawanmushi. its much tastier. i cant wait to eat 魚生 tonight! i hope there is. okay i shall erm go clear my table and maybe watch some shows and then head down to uncle paddy's tonight. sigh. i'll be anti-social again. :( Montag, Februar 12

crazy day
10:48 PM today was one weird crazy day. everything started out pretty fine during econs. it was all peaceful during math too... UNTIL PE. goodness, i almost went senile! haha but it was all fun. :D yeap. played handball against s17. and their number of girls is like our number of guys equivalent. scary la! and then the rule was that only girls could shoot. so i was erm, the HORRIFIC goal shooter. :( sob. i missed dunno how many shots! hmmm. i need heavier handball balls! then i can bowl it into the goal post! haha. alright. yep. what an exciting game which ended 0-0. and something very funny happened to our dear friend! L-O-L. :D:D:D "no, last year..." ahahaha. then it was break and chionging physics tut and physics tut was filled with the guys trying to knock down my pen tower. HAHA. my wonderful bo-liao pen tower.  it was so sturdy okay! after like 3 throws aiming right at it, it was still standing! okay like the 2 ends la. :D :D and its not once bitten, twice shy because you must persevere to keep it standing! dont give up! HAHA my lame stuff. a good way to pass physics lessons. and lwt was damn funny. he didnt even realize the big hoo-ha and was like, "eh, dont play ah." HAHA. oh, math lecture was super high esp when cyy took over the lecturing. yewliang became yewKIANG. we're thinking cyy has some crush on yewliang la. seriously. she was stealing glances at him all the while! =P and the "balek" joke was super hilarious. haha. i went vivo after sch to shop for cny clothes. ended up with nothing. sob. wanted this mango top but there was no more size! dang. and i saw daphne there. haha. vivo on mondays are so quiet. :( i want new clothes! maybe i should go shopping with friends but mum will grumble cos i'm spending her money so she has to agree with my taste as well. =/ alright. gp presentation. adieu. 2:29 PM okay i shall fully post up all the pictures. omg its 230pm and im still slacking. nvm im pretty much done with econs. yay. uhhuh. was out to meet bear, bird and charz last night at suntec. was supposed to go to marche but it seemed like it closed down cos they're gonna open 1 flagship store at vivo around end-feb. yep. sad. so since bear wanted nydc, charz gave in to her and we ended up there. haha! i was neutral. someone even kept wanting to go to 翡翠. =/ (crystal jade)  bear and i shared this imm slam drink. it was 12 bucks la! but super nice. it was some coffee drink thing with ice cream and all. lol. i forgot the ingredients so go to nydc yourself to try it! really WOW.  i ordered a mushroom ham baked rice for myself. the ingredients were nice, but the rice didnt feel that baked. haha i think i prefer the swenson's baked rice.  bert recommended this dynamite pizza. =.= and i had a bet with him to finish 1 slice INCLUDING Tabasco sauce poured on top without drinking water. WALAOEH. my stomach almost exploded into flames. really up to its name, dynamite!!! seriously you should go try it there. damn shiok la. i was surprised i could actually erm, feed on it. haha! its really HOT. i think they dump like 1 whole bottle of chili powder onto each pizza. haha. bear was so cute she turned red upon taking 1 bite! haha should have taken a picture of that man! lol.  after dinner, we walked around and then we decided to go to the arcade. haha. and we challenged each other basketball. argh the machine sucked la. it was slow okay! haha. the tw basketball machines are so much better. and there are like so many at 西門丁! sob. i miss tw. :( but yeah. we kinda sucked. the balls kept flying out of it la. 86 vs 26. how funny.  then we roamed around and saw this little girl playing the drums thing. super power!!! she had 100 over combos! i doubt i can even reach 10. wah her hand eye coordination damn good. and its not easy to maintain 100 over! she like gathered a small crowd there and when she finished everyone was like clapping. haha. she was like 4 yrs old?! and poor bert had to humour himself with the guitar one. haha and charz went to play the jap drums one. lol. and i think that girl's family is damn pro in arcade one la. her father won this life-size 我叫金三順 pig. so big can! it was through this candy machine thing. not sure how to play but you can win lots of big prizes. time crisis 3 was fun! haha though my gun was cranky again. dammit la. i had a cranky gun at raffles town club the prev time i played. and now its cranky again! grrr. then the guys got a little crazy playing those machines, the sega amuse ones, where you move the 'kiap' thing to pick up the toy. charz almost got the pooh so many times la! but seriously i saw 5 people who managed to win a toy each through that machine. money spent must have been alot but 1 couple like spent 3-4 tries getting this uber cute tigger toy. charz spent over 10 bucks trying to get the toy but sadly, yeah. ;D dont worry you tried! it was good enough! ahaha i think its really addictive. more than gambling. its the perseverance that matters =D and we saw kim fang there! ahhaa and charz was telling me about s22 outing again. lol. later was dessert at gelare. haha. ice cream! ex but nice! haha.  and then it was an mrt trip home. charz is like squinting at this super funny pic. haha. shall post it up when i have the time. it was quite tiny on the phone. lol. hahah. and to end it off,  ok i doodled on the pic. haha! seey'all. work time.
